Great food overly enjoy the udon noodle soup as it's one of my favorites extremely well-made and it's been the chicken and broccoli was just as appetizing

Ordered some sashimi and sushi...it was fantastic.

Although I live on the Island, this is my go-to place for consistently excellent food served quickly. Whether choosing from the Chinese or Japanese menu, I have never been disappointed. Mid August it will take me at least a half hour to get there but it’s totally worth it!

We are regular customers for years now never ever been disappointed with their food ...Chinese or Japanese, or the sushi.also satisfied, good pricing, tasty food, nice people, cooks and servers. We would give it a high rating.

Food was delicious. Not greasy nor too salty. It was our first time. Don't let the outside appearance fool you. It is small but clean. Very friendly. Several people picked up take out. ONE woman complimented the sushi chef on how good his food was.

Been getting subs here for decades. Excellent but different cheesteaks. Get one with all on it and fried onions, a dash of salad dressing (tangy).. First and souvlakas are great as well

The waitresses seemed nice but the food didn’t taste the best. There was also a kid that was very loud and screaming and throwing toys.

One of the better chinese food places around this area. Good selection, and they have sush!

THEY DELIVER. Great experience here. We ordered delivery, and they delivered an excellent dinner. The chicken dishes looked and tasted like chicken, and there was plenty of sauce for each of the dishes.

We got there around 9pm when they close at 10pm... one of the cooks told us to “hurry up” in the middle of ordering our food. Very impatient and did not even welcome us when we walked in. They were preparing our sushi and proceeded to mop the floor. Very unprofessional

This place is one of the best sushi places in town, even though I'm Japanese but it definitely satiated my standards.

Got a take out whilst staying in town. Nice people inside, small number of tables for eating in but wasn’t busy. I got two dishes both of which were really good. Pricing was reasonable.

Food was delicious. Clean restaurant. A little on the small side. Does a lot of take out business. Friendly employees. Food was fresh and not greasy at all. Will definitely come back.

Best Chinese in manahawkin and Lbi area. If your in holgate it’s worth every light to eat here. The staff is great and the food is the best.

Should have left as soon as getting there.Not welcoming at all.The waitress seemed miserable, I ordered water for my drink, she made a ugly face then , had words to the sushi chef in their language.Ordered a dish made with beefI was brought chickenAgain she has conversation with sushi chef, when I sent it back.I would not go back again.It was not a good experience on any level.Very unprofessional to speak in ones foreign language, making faces of ugliness, and under estimating The intelligence of their paying customers. will not pay to be disrespected .Poor display of hospitality. Best noodle soup around! They were out of the chicken dumplings (my favorite ) so I tried the shrimp which were delicious. Friendly staff. Usually I eat in and watch the sushi chef at work but decided on take out. Soups were packaged excellently with noodles and dumplings separated from broth so as not to overcook them. Simply delicious!

First time ordering food from here. My wife and I moved from Central Jersey and tried a few different places before hitting this gem. Excellent food clean and fresh. Definitely our go to Chinese food. A++++ keep up the good work

Stopped in for some sushi and that dude behind the counter has skills. I was pleased with the rolls I got and the service was excellent. When I'm in the area I'll be back

Asian Gourmet is one of our favorite Chinese/Japanese places around. The different meals and sushi are always extremely fresh and delicious. Their prices have recently gone up though so most of the old menu pictures online are showing cheaper than what you'll actually be paying. Definitely worth the price though for the portions and quality of the food.

Nice place to sit down with decent foodMENU is more Japanese than Chinese. A large sushi menu. They offer some of the common Chinese dishes but they are not very good. PRICES are very high. higher than most sushi places and most Chinese places.FOOD is decent if your looking for sushi or other Japanese dishes. I’ve had the hibachi and teriyaki dishes which were very good but expensive. Chinese dishes are not good I have tried almost all like general Tso’s, Mongolian, sesame, Szechuan and none have been good. Nice seating area and small parking lot.

Just enjoyed a fantastic meal from Asian Gourment. Ordered 7 dinners, and each was delicious, and exactly as we ordered it.This has been our go-to for asian food for years. They are the best was have tried locally.

Stopped in for "take out".....great service, I am vegan and the staff understood my needs and made accommodations in the food preparation. At home now thoughroly enjoying a very high quality, tasty and vegan meal.

Everything here is always very good, the hot and sour soup is my favorite and as far as sushi goes, you can't go wrong with the Sex In The Lobby roll.

Really good food but on rare occasions, our take out order had been incorrect. Still one of our favorites. Try the Tom yum soup!

Had placed an order the food was amazing but will never order there again after the experience I had with their driver Tom. The man is a nasty, disgusting human. He was caught eating out of our order, and was trying to pocket my 23$ in change for a tip. The man is nothing but trouble BEWARE!

We always get takeout but it's a nice restaurant inside taking home to eat delicious food have to get our Chinese food on the mainland there's none on the island. There used to be I think the owner died so we come here now and it's awesome!!!!

What a great find. Service is excellent for both in store and take out. Fresh and hot. Huge shrimp in lobster sauce and delicious. The portions are generous and tasty. Excellent lunch menu and specials. Check it out you won’t be disappointed.

Servers are friendly. They have Chinese, Japanese and Thai dishes. Food is always very good. We live in Absecon, NJ and dine at China Sea when near home. Asian Gourmet is our favorite Asian restaurant in the Manahawkin area. Asian Gourmet also has great sushi and ingredients are fresh. They have a very robust take out desk which is always busy when we dine in.

My experience is usually good although, my other got sick soon after eating there but I'm not entirely sure if it was from here. I believe their food is great but my own little personal issue would have to be it's a little difficult to communicate with one of the waitresses because if I were to ask about an item on the menu, she would say "pardon?" And I'd have to point it out to her and try to get her to understand. Other than that, it's a lovely place to go!

Tried for first time had boneless spare rib combo and pan fried dumplings. It was pretty good

Ordered the tiger roll and angry dragon roll. And a kani salad. $35 btw (very high price compared to other local places) After eating just one piece of each roll. It was obvious the the fish was bad. It was so disgusting i demanded a refund and began vomiting an hour after eating just 2 pieces. This place needs to be shut down. DISGUSTING PLACE!!!

If you order sushi you are probably fine, but if you are like me and don't like the idea of raw fish than you are out of luck. I got the sesame chicken. While the sauce was okay, the chicken was the worst cuts, all grizzle and fat. Dried out and stringy. I couldn't eat it. My friends and so many people rave about this place but I was not impressed. There are other Chinese food places nearby that are much better and have better prices. I know that most restaurants get their chicken bulk out of a giant box off the back of a truck, but it shouldn't taste like that. First impression - not impressed.
